SOMBREUIL
Sombreuil is a very
special grand occasion hat, for a bride or Mother of the bride.
Named after an antique rose I have in my garden, the ivory silk
roses are similar in color and shape. Finest quality vintage
lace covers the crown, and hard to find vintage wax orange blossoms
are tucked beside the large handmade silk roses. (remember those?)
Ivory ostrich feathers are added for a final a touch of panache.
The hat is hand-dyed linen straw, it is finished off with rutched
velvet ribbon. Size 22' is standard, others available by special

Carolina Rose Garden is
a lush design in the tradition of the great milliners of the
past. Hand dyed linen straw, embellished with my hand made silk
roses, blended with assorted vintage flowers. Chenille veiling
is added for a touch of mystique. Shown here in black, also done
in natural & moss. Allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery.
Straight out of The Great
Gatsby, Zelda is reminiscent of the style of hat worn in the
1920s by Zelda Fitzgerald, newly liberated from the bondage of
corsets. Hand dyed linen straw in moss green, the crown is covered
in a vintage metallic gold lace, and trimmed with hand made silk
roses and assorted vintage flowers. A small 4 inch brim makes
this a good hat for petite as well as standard height wearers.
